Bookings, Terms & Conditions
Dive Team Cancellation and Reschedule Policy
Thank you for choosing Dive Team – Cape Town! We understand that unforeseen circumstances can sometimes arise, and we have created this policy to ensure fairness for both our clients and our business.
Cancellations:
- 48+ hours notice: No cancellation fee will be charged. You may choose to receive a full refund or reschedule your appointment without penalty.
- 48-24 hours notice: 50% cancellation fee will be charged. You may choose to reschedule your appointment without penalty.
- Less than 24 hours notice: A 100% cancellation fee will be charged to the credit card used for the booking.
- No-show: Clients who do not arrive within 30 minutes of their appointment start time will be considered a no-show and charged the full amount.
Reschedule:
- You may reschedule your appointment once without penalty, provided you notify us at least 24 hours in advance.
- Any additional reschedule requests will be subject to availability and may incur a reschedule fee of [Percentage]% of the original booking cost.
Extenuating Circumstances:
- We understand that emergencies and unexpected events can happen. In such cases, we may offer a one-time waiver of the cancellation fee, at our discretion. Please contact us immediately to discuss your situation.
Please note:
- By accepting this policy, you confirm that you are qualified to participate in the booked activity and possess the necessary certifications and experience. Dive Team reserves the right to refuse service if you cannot provide proof of qualification.
- This policy applies to all online bookings made through our website, phone lines, email instore bookings or bookings made with Dive Team by any tour operators and booking agents.

Definitions
“User” means any person who accesses or uses the website of Dive Team.
“Dive Team” means the website displaying the official content as authorised by Dive Team.

While Dive Team will make reasonable endeavours to ensure that the content on the website is correct and reliable, inaccuracies might occur. The User should therefore be aware of and acknowledge that:

Legal Costs
Dive Team will not be liable for any legal costs and expenses incurred by the User to obtain professional advice relating to these Terms and Conditions.
Breaches
Should the User breach any Terms and Conditions of this website, Dive Team will be entitled to its rights in the Terms and Conditions or in law to claim damages from the User or to commence with criminal proceedings.
Returns and Shipping Options
Dive Team (PTY) Ltd will act honestly and fairly in any deal entered into between ourselves and a customer. We offer one free exchange on incorrectly fitting gear, however, all additional exchanges are subject to shipping and handling fees. Dive Team (PTY) Ltd will abide by the general terms and conditions as outlined in the South African consumer protection act. We will be fair and reasonable to every customer; we, therefore, expect the same from our clients.
Returns
Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Refunds will be paid less the deductions for incurred shipping costs. Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer. Contact us.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will be in contact with you either by phone or email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and the amount agreed upon will be refunded to your bank account via EFT, within a certain amount of days. Admin fees and bank charges may be deducted.
Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email and send the product to: 66 Saint Georges Street, Simonstown, 7995.
Shipping
To return your product, you should courier your product to 66 Saint Georges Street, Simonstown, 7995.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. If you are shipping an item over R1500, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We can give more advice on this if needed. Contact us. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item. This is up to yourself and the shipping company you use.
FLAT RATE: This allows us to choose the best rate we can find using a range of third party carriers as well as freight consolidators. We offer flat rate shipping at a rate of R200.00 country wide. Larger items such as cylinders, and spearguns incur a small additional charge based on weight.
Local deliveries within Cape Town, if the order is placed that day before 09:00 we typically ship same day or overnight. Hence you can expect delivery times between 24-48 Hours after the order is placed.
Major Centres can expect delivery in 3-7 working days.
What is a Main Centre?
A main centre is any Town or City in South Africa that is serviced via a daily flight schedule. In order for this to be possible the area must be within the delivery range of a recognised Airport. These Airport hubs are as follows: Johannesburg, Durban, East London, Port Elizabeth, George, Cape Town and Bloemfontein. Regional areas can expect deliveries from 3 to 4 days.
A regional area is any Town or City in South Africa that is not catered for via a daily flight schedule. In order for this to be possible the area must be within the delivery range of a recognised Airport. All regional areas will experience a delay in the delivery time, as most of these areas are not serviced daily.
Outlaying areas can expect deliveries from 7 to 10 days.
Outlaying areas such as Sodwana bay are typically only serviced by couriers once a week.
Why can I not send my parcel to a P.O. Box address?
The Courier Guy is an express courier service, therefore your parcel will be delivered to door, and will require a signature from the receiver.
Dive Team does not currently offer international shipping for online orders.
