PADI Open Water Course

Course Itinerary

Meet at Dive Team everyday at 8am and finish between 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Day 1: Paperwork, Knowledge reviews, Equipment setup, Pool dives

Day 2: Two shore dives at Long Beach in Simonstown.

Day 3: Two shore dives along the Cape Peninsula, exploring the kelp forests and completing final skills. You will also be certified as a diver after completing all the requirements on this day.

Day 4: This is what you trained for! Diving to your maximum depth of 18 meters and exploring the underwater world as a qualified diver.

Prerequisites

Please take note of the following to successfully enroll in the PADI Open water course:

Minimum age: 10 Years
Duration: 4 Days (full time or part time)
Physical abilities: Reasonably fit and healthy, good swimmer

Method of study: Home study with PADI E-Learning (laptop, tablet or smartphone)

We will register you for DANSA.ORG student cover that is valid for the duration of your Open water course. This will provide you with the required emergency medical cover should things go wrong.

Dives are weather dependent. We will discuss availability, weather and ocean conditions during your course.
