Course Itinerary

Meet at Dive Team everyday at 8am and finish between 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Flexible time schedules for full-time or part-time candidates.

  • Day 1: Knowledge review, dive centre orientation, paperwork, equipment setup
  • Day 2: 100m Tired diver tow, 15 Minute water tread, Equipment exchange, 400m swim, 800m snorkel swim
  • Day 3: Skills workshop in pool, Rescue Exercise 7, Emergency assistance plan, Discover local diving
  • Day 4: Search & recovery, Dive site set up & management, Dive briefing, Skill practice 1
  • Day 5: Leading Shore dives
  • Day 6: Discover Scuba Diving workshop in confined water & open water, Scuba review, Skill practice 2
  • Day 7: Skin diver, Skill circuit, Mapping project
  • Day 8: Deep dive, Continuous education
  • Day 9: Presenting Open water course in pool and ocean
  • Day 10: Certified diver in open water, Admin & paperwork
  • Day 11-14: Practical experience leading and guiding as certified Divemaster

Prerequisites

Please take note of the following to successfully enroll in the PADI Open water course:

Minimum age: 18 Years
Duration: 14 days full time or 2 months part time
Physical abilities: Reasonably fit and healthy, good swimmer
Prerequisites: PADI Rescue diver or equivalent
Prerequisites: Emergency first response or equivalent first aid
Prerequisites: Medical clearance by Diving doctor

Method of study: Home study with PADI E-Learning (laptop, tablet or smartphone)

Dives are weather dependent. We will discuss availability, weather and ocean conditions during your course.
